The Easter Pony Show at Hollypark Stables concluded with the Leading Rider, 11-year-old Charlie Flynn, scooping the top prize of a Cheval Liberté Touring Country with Tack Room Double Horse Trailer.

The young rider from Kilkeary National School in Co Tipperary, who has been riding for the last 5 years, rode his 3 ponies to victory in the 128cm, 138cm and 148cm classes, winning 10 out of the 20 he entered with high placings in the other classes.

His impressive wins included the 138cm Grand Prix across all 3 days, with ponies Knud van Orchids and Harefield Diego and also the 128cm Grand Prix on 2 days with Penchwintan Glynle and I’m a Starboy.

As the current leading 128cm rider in the Equijump Spring Tour with his pony Penchwintan Glynle, Charlie will be heading to the Meadows this weekend to hopefully continue his successful roll.

Charlie’s main aim for 2023 is to get his 128 and 138cm ponies to the Royal Dublin Show and is looking forward to taking them to the Home Pony Internationals at Wales & West to compete on the Irish teams in the summer.

Following his overall win at Hollypark Stables, Charlie was completely over the moon with being the leading rider at the Young Rider and Pony Easter Show and to bring home the fabulous Cheval Liberté Touring Country trailer.

Diane Fletcher commented, “He’s spent everyday in it since bringing it home, arranging his tack in the fabulous built in tack lockers and is very excited to use it for the 1st time this weekend. We can’t thankyou enough for such a fabulous prize, the trailer really is fantastic” 😀

We wish Charlie and his ponies all the luck for his upcoming shows and to enjoy their travels in their new Touring Country Trailer.
